Project Overview

We’re transforming the overplanted foundation shrubs into a modern cottage garden. The dwarf Japanese cedars and one existing Hydrangea paniculata will remain; all loropetalums and excess shrubs will be removed. The new garden features peonies, roses, dahlias, geraniums, tulips, and native perennials for pollinator support and seasonal beauty.

• September 2025: Perennial installation

• December 2025: Tulip bulbs planted when soil is below 55°F

• Spring–Summer 2026: Full bloom and established structure

• 22 × Monarda bradburiana (Eastern bee balm)

• 91 × Phlox glaberrima ‘Morris Berd’ (Smooth phlox)

• 56 × Stachys ‘Summer Crush’ (Betony)

• 5 × Paeonia (variety TBD)

• 32 × Echinacea pallida (Pale purple coneflower)

• 37 × Lobelia siphilitica (Great blue lobelia)

• 24 × Geranium ‘Bevan’s Variety’

• 3 × Rosa ‘Desdemona’

• 2 × Rosa ‘Malvern Hills’ (climbing)

• 3 × Dahlia ‘Penhill Dark Monarch’

• 1 × Hydrangea paniculata (existing, preserved)

• 100 × Tulipa ‘Salmon Impression’ (bulbs; separate December phase)

Investment & Payment

• September planting (perennials, roses, peonies, dahlias, geraniums): $2,900

• December bulb planting (100 tulips): $700

• Total project estimate: $3,600

Payment schedule:

• Deposit (due now): $1,450 (50% of September phase)

• Balance: $1,450 due at completion of September planting

• Tulip bulbs: $700 invoiced separately in December

Included Stewardship

The 2026 Friends & Family Plan maintenance program is included at no additional cost: six visits (approx. 50 hours, $3,750 value).

How This Works

1. Pay the deposit (this page) to greenlight and reserve your September 2025 window.

2. September 2025: Core perennial and rose planting.

3. Balance due at September completion.

4. December 2025: Tulip bulbs installed (billed separately)

Is the deposit refundable?

Deposits secure plants and crew time; they are non-refundable once procurement begins.

When will bulbs be planted?

Early December, once soil temperature is below 55°F.

What if weather delays occur?

We will adjust within the same season if needed
