Garden Design

For years as I've been designing and creating Natchez Glen I've pondered the idea of designing gardens for other people and places. As an artist the idea of putting my creative ideas in other places is thrilling but the idea of being asked to create gardens that are more conformist is not what I create. 

Creating gardens is about imagination and the place. When I design a garden it's important that we understand the place. When you commission me for a design I spend a tremendous amount of energy trying to determine what creative ideas we can explore in your garden while still following the practical's of gardening provided to us by science and my experience. 

I would love to design your garden. My process is creatively driven to make sure we make a garden that is magical for your space. There are two ways we can begin working together on a design. 

Both start with one of our garden design consultations. Consultations must be done on site and you should provide as many inspirational media od the space as necessary. Consultations last from one to four hours. 

After our consultation the choices of what design begin next. Complete custom design is my preferred choice always. Your location and soil are a determining factor in what direction my design will go. A great garden gets better over time, and this is the stage where those decisions happen. My decades of horticultural and design experience allow us to create a world class garden.
